Your first steps in Spanish

Practise small, complete exchanges instead of learning disconnected lists.

A short routine

Choose one guide. Spend two minutes reading the exchange, two saying it aloud and one answering the exercise. Check the answer, then change a name, place or number. Later, try the exchange without looking. Five minutes is a suggested routine, not a promise of a particular result.

Keep useful details

Write accents and ñ carefully: sí means yes, while si means if; año means year. These are meaningful distinctions, not decoration.

Spanish in Spain and beyond

The examples use everyday Spanish and explain a Spain-specific choice when needed. Spanish varies across regions; a different accent or a regional word is not automatically a mistake.
